His Holiness Kirill, Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus’, extended condolences to Nepal’s senior statesmen over the devastating floods that had struck Rasuwa District. The text of the message is given below.

Your Excellency, dear Mr President,

Your Excellency, dear Mr Prime Minister,

I extend to you my sincere condolences as I learned of the floods that had hit Rasuwa District, killing and injuring many people, destroying houses and inflicting damage on the transport infrastructure.

At this moment of hardship for the people of Nepal, I ask you to convey my words of consolation and support to all your fellow citizens, especially those who have lost their family members and friends.

I wish speedy recovery to the injured and strength to all those dealing with the aftermaths of the natural disaster.
