Patriarchal Exarch of Western Europe meets with Catholic Archbishop of Esztergom-Budapest, Péter Cardinal Erdő

On 21st August 2026, a meeting took place between Metropolitan Mark of Korsun and Western Europe, Patriarchal Exarch of Western Europe, Administrator of the Diocese of Budapest and Hungary, and the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Esztergom-Budapest and the Primate of Hungary – Péter Cardinal Erdő.
In the warm atmosphere, the participants in the meeting discussed a wide range of topics.
Metropolitan Mark told Cardinal Erdő about the activities of the Patriarchal Exarchate of Western Europe aimed at developing church life in the countries of its canonical responsibility, website of the Diocese of Budapest and Hungary reports. The two hierarchs exchanged opinions on various issues pertaining to missionary and educational work, as well as social ministry of Christian Churches in the West.
