Ruling hierarch of the Odessa diocese give reception in honour of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill

On 21 July 2010, after the Divine Liturgy at th4e newly blessed Cathedral of the Transfiguration, Metropolitan Agafangel of Odessa and Izmail gave a festive reception in honour of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia.

Attending the reception were His Beatitude Metropolitan Vladimir of Kiev and All Ukraine; Metropolitan Varsonofiy of Saransk and Mordovia, Chancellor of the Moscow Patriarchate; Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, Chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for External Church Relations; the archpastors who concelebrated the Divine Liturgy; heads and staff members of the Synodal Departments; clergymen of the Odessa diocese; representatives of state authorities; and diplomats.

His Holiness Patriarch Kirill conferred church awards on the benefactors who contributed to the restoration of the Cathedral of the Transfiguration.
